Aidee Walker

Aidee Walker is an accomplished NZ actress and director with a passion for telling female centric and the underdog stories.

Aidee is the series director for Kid Sister S1 & S2 for Greenstone TV which was shortlisted for a Rose D’or and won Best Comedy at the Asian Academy Awards, and Aidee picked up Best director for Television for the Australia/NZ region. She was the director of Australian Series White Fever (ABC) and has directed on Westside S4 & S5, The Brokenwood Mysteries S6 & S7 and BBC’s family drama, Mystic S1 and S2, for which she was the lead director for S2. She directed webseries Stand Up Girl in addition to music videos for Crowded House and Benee.

Her debut short made for $400, The F.E.U.C, was officially selected for the Palm Springs Film Festival and her second short, Friday Tigers, won Best Short Film and the Audience Award at NZIFF and was selected for MIFF, where she attended the Accelerator Program. Shortly after, Aidee joined the writing team for SPP’s Step Dave, in which she also starred.

Aidee is the writer/director of factual comedy Don’t (Greenstone Pictures) and is in production for her feature documentary The White Thing To Do in collaboration with Jamaican filmmaker Gabrielle Blackwood (Norman/Norman). Aidee is developing her first drama feature with long time collaborator (and Emmy Award winning) Shoshana McCallum.
