Over the last decade Alix Whittaker has produced close to 100 ambitious and award-winning short films (Daniel by Claire van Beek, and Pain by Anna Duckworth; both in competition for NZ’s Best Short Film at NZIFF 2020), feature films (Stray by Dustin Feneley, Mega Time Squad by Tim van Dammen, and the upcoming Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant from THUNDERLIPS), series (Chris and Eli’s Porn Revolution, Someday Stories), and music videos (Sheep, Dog & Wolf’s Glare).
Alix was the Producer Intern on Taika Waititi’s Hunt For The Wilderpeople and has attended a number of professional development initiatives including a Masterclass by Ted Hope, the year-long ‘A-Z for Producing; ,and a Story Development Workshop lead by Script Consultant Louise Gough.
With Hot Candle Wave Alix is developing and financing an exciting slate of feature films she loves for their unique perspectives about the world we live in, and their clear voice and bold vision.
