Elizabeth Mitchell

Elizabeth Mitchell is a multi-award-winning writer and producer. She was the series creator/producer/writer/director of New Zealand’s first primetime animated series, the hit sitcom bro’Town, which garnered a hoard of accolades, international sales, a line of merchandise and a permanent place in the hearts of New Zealanders. Elizabeth followed bro’Town by producing, co-writing and co-directing Radiradirah, a prime-time comedy sketch show featuring Taika Waititi, Jemaine Clement, John Clarke, and the Naked Samoans as well as the ground-breaking digital claymation comedy Robert and Sheepy, also featuring Clement.   

She produced Oscar Kightley’s award-winning coming-of-age short film Tom’s Dairy and worked again with Kightley on a documentary Rooster, Rooster, Dragon, Rat – Oscar’s Guide to the Chinese Zodiac, which she produced and directed for TV3’s Inside New Zealand strand.  Most recently she has been working on a feature film, writing and developing an animated sitcom, and co-writing and developing a historical drama series.
