Imogen Johnson has worked in the film & television and PR industries for over twenty years. She is owner and senior agent at Johnson & Laird Management which was set up by her to provide pro-active and creative representation for their exclusive clientele – many of the country’s best actors, presenters, MC’s/Entertainers & voices including Anna Hutchison, Rose McIver, Danielle Cormack, Robyn Malcolm, Melanie Lynskey, Robbie Magasiva, Sara Wiseman, Alan Dale, Craig Hall and Karl Urban.
One of her known specialities is the international placement of J&L’s clients, sharing many with major agencies in Sydney, LA and London. Many of these actors are now highly recognisable and sought after performers in these territories. Currently J&L clients can be seen in lead roles in productions such as UNDERBELLY, WENTWORTH, RAKE, UPPER CLASS BOGAN, PLACE CALLED HOME, PACKED TO THE RAFTERS, ONCE UPON A TIME, HOT IN CLEVELAND, ALMOST HUMAN, CARRIE DIARIES and many more.
Imogen is also very active in lobbying for better terms and conditions for all performers in New Zealand and is a supporter of NZ Actors Equity and a founding member of the AAANZ (Actors Agents Association).
