Kahli manages Film Queenstown Lakes, the regional film office for Queenstown Lakes District Council, as well as co-managing Film Otago Southland. She is also the current Chair of the Regional Film Offices of New Zealand (RFONZ) network.
Kahli has over ten years of experience supporting the creative, media and entertainment industries. Born in Canada and raised in Australia, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Creative and Professional Writing. Prior to moving to Queenstown in 2018, she spent time in London working for major media and entertainment events such as the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Kahli has worked for the film office in Queenstown for five years and is an advocate for creativity as an economic driver, streamlined location access for filming, and getting more South Island stories on screen.
