Kerry Warkia is an actress, producer and writer with several successful projects under her belt in the web format.
In 2011 Kerry acted in and produced the successful NZ On Air funded web series AUCKLAND DAZE which was then commissioned by TVNZ for a second series on television. She and partner Kiel McNaughton utilised the skills and experience working with the web format to develop, fund and distribute an internet-only Halloween special of the series, END OF DAZE in 2013.
Kerry is also a driving force behind another leading kiwi web series, FLAT3, acting in and producing the second and upcoming third and final season.
Last year Kerry created and produced and created NZ’s first children’s web series NIA’S EXTRA ORDINARY LIFE – a twelve part web series that was NZ On Air funded and aired on YouTube and Maori Television and is available for download on Gumroad. The series has been commissioned for a second season under the joint Te Māngai Paho/ NZ on Air web series fund. Both this, and a reversion of the first season will be made available in both English and Te Reo.
Kerry has several projects in development including more web ventures, television content and a feature film. She is sought after for her expertise in the realm of web content and was awarded Woman to Watch at the 2014 WIFT Awards.
