Leanne Pooley is one of New Zealand’s most accomplished documentarians having worked around the world for over 25 years. Her films range in topic from the Topp Twins to The Pope, have screened in more than 100 countries and have won dozens of international awards including Best Documentary at TIFF. She directed NZ’s highest grossing documentary, the first New Zealand animated film to qualify for Oscar recognition, is an Officer of the NZ Order of Merit, an Arts Laureate and a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
