New Zealand native, Lucy Lawless shot to fame in the mid 90s as the eponymous hero, Xena: Warrior Princess. She went on to star in many films and television series, including, Spartacus, The Rise of Gru, Parks and Recreation and was invited to appear in many cult classics such as Curb your Enthusiasm, Adventure Time and The Simpsons.
Lawless exec-produces and stars in Acorn’s My Life is Murder which has just wrapped its fourth season.
Lawless’s directorial debut was with Never Look Away, a documentary film about the extraordinary life of CNN camerawoman, Margaret Moth. Never Look Away has been selected to premiere and open both Sundance2024 and SXSW 2024.
