Miriama McDowell won the Best Actress award at The Moas this year for her leading role in THE GREAT MAIDEN’S BLUSH. Since graduating from Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School, Miriama has appeared in numerous television series’ including THIS IS NOT MY LIFE, HOPE AND WIRE, TERRY TEO and FIND ME A MAORI BRIDE. Her film credits include films NO.2, DARK HORSE, MAHANA and most recently, WARU. She also works as an actor, writer and director in theatre and has just returned from Melbourne where she directed Much Ado About Nothing at the Pop Up Globe Melbourne.
