Paula Penfold is a journalist in the investigative unit Stuff Circuit. They were previously television journalists who were “Mark Weldon-ed” out of TV3, and found a home at Stuff creating investigative documentaries and multimedia pieces, funded by New Zealand on Air. Their most recent project Emma documented the story of a colleague who has fetal alcohol syndrome and wanted to return to Russia to find her birth family. Stuff Circuit was named Best Current Affairs programme at this year’s New Zealand Television Awards, where last year Paula was named Reporter of the Year. She lives in Auckland and has two children.
