Petrina started her journey in print journalism after graduating in Mass Communication and Media Studies. As a Creative Director Petrina has spearheaded numerous shows for BCC Productions India. She has produced short films, tv commercials, documentaries and feature films. In her capacity as COO for Priyanka Chopra Jonas she managed the regional slate of films for the production house – Purple Pebble Pictures, winning 3 National Awards for the feature film Ventilator. Her film ‘Newton’ under Drishyam Films was shortlisted as India’s official entry to the Oscars in 2018.
She was the Founder President of WIFT India in 2012 putting representation of women in the Indian film industry front and centre of conversation.
Currently based in Christchurch, she is the Head of Screen CanterburyNZ, the regional film office for Canterbury and manages a 1.5M grant fund to attract productions to the region.
