Rene Naufahu is one of New Zealand’s most outstanding acting talents. He is best known to audiences in this country for his role as Sam Aleni on SHORTLAND STREET, and has appeared in television series and films as diverse as HERCULES, ALL SAINTS, WATER RATS, SEA CHANGE, MATAKU, POWER RANGERS, THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS and THE MATRIX RELOADED.
Rene is also a successful screenwriter and director. In 2003 he attended the prestigious Maurtiz Binger Institute in Amsterdam. In 2004-2005 he was a writer and a director on TVNZ’s THE MARKET.
His debut feature film THE LAST SAINT is currently screened in New Zealand cinemas in 2014.
