Richard Fletcher is the Managing Director and a founding partner of Libertine Pictures with Neil Cross. With over 25 years of experience in international film and television production, Richard has produced or executive-produced 33 feature films, documentaries, and TV series. Recent projects include Secrets at Red Rocks for Sky and BYUtv, and three seasons each of Mystic for CBBC and TVNZ, and Under the Vines for Acorn TV and TVNZ. Richard’s productions have been featured at major international festivals such as Berlin, Sundance, and Toronto. He has worked with partners including ABC, BBC, Netflix, and Warner Bros. Discovery.
Richard previously worked at the New Zealand Film Commission and has extensive experience in production, financing, and distribution. He also has significant public policy experience as a former President of SPADA and a New Zealand Screen Council board member. In 2009, he received the SPADA Independent Producer of the Year award and, in 2017, the SPADA/Data Book Industry Champion award.
