Steve Newall is the editor of Flicks, a role he’s had since 2012. Managing a talented team of contributors, he writes and commissions reviews and features on cinema and streaming content for millions of readers across Aotearoa, Australia and the UK. Steve can be heard talking up the best viewing on Newstalk ZB and 95bFM each week, and his writing has appeared in The Listener, Metro, The Spinoff, and Sunday Star-Times (plus too many outlets now consigned to the media dumpster). Steve also produces and programmes the biennial NZ International Fraud Film Festival, and fights for the future of live music venues as a director of Save Our Venues.
