Tayla Hancock provides policy and strategic advice to the NZFC team, co-ordinates ministerial services and is leading the research and development of the NZFC Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. She has a Master’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology with experience in using visual research methods and understanding how marginalised communities are represented on screen. Prior to joining the NZFC, Tayla worked as a Senior Project Consultant for the Victoria Department of Justice in Melbourne and as a Lecturer in Cultural Anthropology at Victoria University of Wellington.
