
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in London and graduating from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business with an MBA degree, Tim Brooke-Hunt moved to Australia in the mid 1970’s. He began working in the Film and TV industry in 1983 and, over the next 20 years he was extensively involved in the financing and production of animation for film and TV.
During this period, Tim held senior positions with the Australian production companies Beyond International and Yoram Gross Film Studios (now Flying Bark). He co-founded Sticky Pictures in 2002. His Executive Producer credits include the animated TV series BLINKY BILL, FLIPPER & LOPAKA, OLD TOM, YAKKITY YAK, PEARLIE and DENNIS & GNASHER.
In 2007, Tim was appointed Executive Head of Children’s Content for ABC TV, and became Controller of Children’s in 2010. In these roles, Tim led the launch of the digital school-age channel ABC3 in 2009 and the re-launch of pre-school channel ABC4Kids in 2011. Both channels have become the clear market leaders for their target demographic. Tim was also responsible for ABC TV’s Educational programs and on-line content for children, including two dedicated portals.
Tim left the ABC in September 2013 to pursue new opportunities in children’s entertainment.
