Lynette Wallworth has been identified as a Leading Global Thinker, is a frequent advisor to Sundance Institute Labs, and is a member of the World Economic Forums’ Global Future Council on Virtual and Augmented Reality. Lynette describes her intention as “bringing together technological advances and ancient understandings, new media and old practices, electronics and the electricity of human touch.”

In this session Lynette traces what drives her work and the technologies she uses to deliver them with a special focus on her most recent XR work AWAVENA. It was developed at the invitation of the Amazonian Yawanawa people and is a stunning tale of metamorphosis. Lynette will talk about why it exists in the VR form and how new technologies can address environmental issues and competing world views.
