CEO of the Swedish Film Institute, Anna Serner, led the international charge for gender equality in the film industry with a courageous target: 50% of their films would be written, directed and produced by women within four years. This target was surpassed, transforming the Swedish industry and influencing many other countries to introduce their own targets.
